Welcome to

Alumni Charitable Trust

We are 1984-88 batch Alumni of Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai, hailing from various backgrounds, qualified in different disciplines and settled in life.

Looking back, we felt that the purpose of life would be accomplished by giving back to the society, especially to the ones who require basic needs.

This resulted in the formation of MSEC 84-88 Alumni Charitable Trust in december 2014.

Purpose of trust

  • To help the society, especially those who are underprivileged and looking for support of their health emergencies and children education.
  • Lend a helping hand to the suffering at times of natural calamities.
  • Conduct free General Health Check, Blood Donation Camps, Health Awareness Camps, participation in Preventive Health measures etc. either by ourselves fully managed or in tie-up with social platforms like the LION’s Club, Rotary Club etc.
  • As a mark of respect to our institution, we honour the needy and meritorious students of a batch with needed assistance and awards to support them.

Mission

Support under privileged and needy in the society for their upliftment ensuring better living.

Notable Achievements

COVID RELIEF: Trustees liberally contributed funds to provide food, water & face mask to those stranded in the sudden total lock down declared by the Union & State Governments on 24th March 2020. We managed 150 lunch packs with drinking water bottle for 2 weeks to such stranded people till State Government declared free food to needy from State run Amma Unavagam. This programme was initiated and carried out by our Secretary M.Balasubramanian ably supported by our trustees Mr.Duraipandian and Mr.Raja.

A.V.Mariappan Relief Fund: Due to sudden demise of one of our trustees Mr.A.V.Mariappan, it was proposed by Trustees Mr.Duraipandian, Mr.Abdul Nasser and Mr.M. R. Nizamudeen to extend financial support to the bereaved family. This was overwhelmingly welcomed by the trustees and a fund raising drive was initiated. Mr.M. R.Nizamudeen handed over the fund to the late A.V.Mariappan's family.
